New York Bridal Fashion Week 2016

Every year I get super excited about my trip up to Manhattan for New York Bridal Fashion Week. Not many of you know this little factoid about me but I'm finally ready to share :) So the Summer of my Junior year at Hollins University I got an internship with Marie Claire magazine?!?! It was my first city experiences and boy was it a hoot! I had so much fun that I got Mono and had to go home early LOL. Anyways, I realized a lot of things about myself during that short Summer. I realized #1 straight up martinis are not a good idea on an empty stomach #2 NYC is fun for a few days but living there isn't easy on a dime. This began my search for the perfect city that was the right size and attitude for me #3 I wasn't done learning. I needed to go to grad school.These three things were very important life lessons that have help sculpt my life and I'm so thankful I had that experience. I find myself Reminiscing about those wild days every time I'm in NYC. Jump ahead a few years to my time at SCAD, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet bridal gown designer, Heidi Elnora. She went to SCAD a few years prior to me and was also from Alabama! I should also mention that she was on Project Runway and her very own show on TLC. Anyways, jump all the way to October 2016... we were both in NYC for bridal fashion week and game for a shoot! This is what came from it...pure magic!
